The "Val de Loire" stool is part of the collection of custom-made stools on the theme of wine appellations.
On the sides are illustrated a bottle and glasses typical of the appellation, while on the back are the main grape varieties: Chenin, Sauvignon and Melon de Bourgogne for the whites, Pinot Noir, Gamay and Cabernet Franc for the reds.
The stool is made to measure according to the height of your kitchen or dining room table, your central island or your bar (allow for a height equal to that of the table minus 28 cm on average).
Description
A wine-themed stool at table height
The choice of stool height allows you to adapt it to your body type and environment.
By choosing a seat height equal to the height of the worktop minus 26 to 30 cm ( on average 28 cm) your forearms are naturally placed on the table. So your shoulders are neither too high nor too low.
Made in the Pays de la Loire
The Corrèze hardwood particle panels, and the cushions, are laser cut in our workshops in the Vendée.
The panels are protected from stains by a blend of 4 natural oils; this treatment gives the item a water-repellent effect and a waxed finish.
How to choose the height of your Vins de Loire stool?
The forearms should rest naturally horizontally on the table, bar or worktop as illustrated below on the left.
On the right of the illustration the seat is too high and the person has a bent back.
If the stool is too low the shoulders go up; over time this uncomfortable position can generate muscle tension and neck pain.

About the grape varieties of Loire Valley wines
Chenin, Sauvignon and Melon de Bourgogne for the whites, Pinot Noir, Gamay and Cabernet Franc for the reds.
The grape varieties from Burgundy
The marriage in Burgundy of Pinot Noir and Gouais gave rise to the Noirien family. This family includes Melon de Bourgogne and Gamay
The Pinot Noir.
It is found in the east of Touraine on limestone soils. .
The Gamay
Like its father, Pinot Noir, it produces a white juice and its colour, tinged by the black skin of the grape, is light. It is adapted to clay-silica and granite soils.
The Melon de Bourgogne
It is no longer present in Burgundy and indeed in the world only Muscadet wines have come from this grape variety.
The other grape varieties
The Sauvignon
It is notably the grape variety in white of Sancerre, Quincy, Ménétou-Salon or Pouilly Fumé. It offers aromas of white flowers and citrus fruits.
The Chenin
This is the emblematic grape variety of the Loire Valley. It is found along the Loire between Melon de Bourgogne in the west and Sauvignon in the east.
The Cabernet Franc
The pilgrims of St Jacques de Compostelle are said to have brought it back from Spain. It offers aromas of raspberry on the Bourgueil terroir or violet on the Chinon lands.
