Description

A Côte du Rhône stool at table height

The choice of the height of the stool allows you to adapt it to your morphology and your environment.

Made in the Pays de la Loire with panels from Corrèze

The Corrèze panels made from hardwood particles, and the cushions, are laser cut in our workshops in the Vendée.
The panels are protected from stains by a blend of 4 natural oils; this treatment gives the item a water-repellent effect and a waxed finish.

How to choose the height of your Côte du Rhône stool?

The forearms should rest naturally horizontally on the table, bar or worktop as illustrated below left.
On the right of the illustration the seat is too high and the person has a bent back.
If the stool is too low the shoulders go up; over time this uncomfortable position can generate muscle tension and neck pain.

About Côtes-du-Rhône grape varieties

In this great wine region there is a southern and a northern part.

The Syrah

In the North Syrah is the only grape variety for red wines.
This variety gives rise to rich, sunny and aromatic wines: Côte Rotie ( with a touch of Viognier), St Joseph, Hermitage and Croze-Hermitage and Cornas.
Depending on the year and the terroir it has pronounced aromas of blackcurrant or violet and raspberry.

The Grenache

It represents more than half of the vineyard surface. It is most often blended with Syrah and Mourvèdre.
It offers aromas of red and black fruits, soft tannins.

Carignan

Young it is too fiery. Harvested from old vines it paradoxically offers freshness to the wines.

The Mourvedre

In Spain, where it originated, it is called the monastrell. In France it is the king grape of Bandol.
It gives a woody or robust side to the wine and spicy notes as it ages.

The Cinsault

This grape variety of Provencal origin gives reds with fine, red fruit flavours. It likes poor, dry soils

Viognier

The grape variety of Condrieu and Château Grillet (but also of Côte-Rotie) it gives fat, round white wines with apricot and peach aromas. Harvested when ripe, it offers honeyed and toasted notes. The Roussane <Roussane

It is at the origin of fine, fat, balanced white wines. Aromas of citrus, pear and exotic fruits. It appreciates the dry and not very fertile terroirs of southern regions. It is often associated with Marsanne.

Marsanne

This grape variety originating from the village of Marsanne, in the Drôme, is, along with Roussanne, the benchmark grape variety for white wines in the northern Côtes du Rhône.

Clairette

It offers aromas of fennel, apple, lime blossom, apricot and peach.
Faux-Ami: contrary to what one might think it is not dominant in Clairette de Die, which contains over 75% Muscat.
