The benefits of a seat made by taking into account your measurements are multiple:
- a correct seat depth allows the back to come to rest well against the backrest, without the cushion compressing the calf
- if you are small in stature an adapted seat height is essential so that you can swing safely
- on the other hand if you are large in stature the combination of the adapted depth and height guarantees your comfort

Precision design and manufacture, in France

So that manufacturing can be launched from your measurements a unique plan is drawn up. Then the data is sent to a laser cutting machine accurate to 1/10 of a mm.
The manufacture of your rocking chair is carried out in our workshops in France from French hardwood fibreboard.
The foam of the Bultex cushions and the manufacture of the cushions are also French products.

A rocking chair was prescribed by physician Janet Travell in 1955 to John F. Kennedy, when he was a junior senator from Massachusetts. He was suffering from persistent back problems due to a war injury. Physician Janet Travell prescribed swimming and the use of a rocking chair as therapy to relieve his pain. She believed that a rocking chair relieved tension in the lower back by moving, contracting and relaxing the muscles.
As president, he loved the rocker so much that his aides brought it on Air Force One when he traveled around the country and the world. He bought more rockers for Camp David and the Kennedys' estates in Palm Beach, Florida and Hyannis Port, Massachusetts. Kennedy also gave dozens of these chairs to friends and heads of state.

In addition, various studies suggest that rocking facilitates falling asleep, increases deep slow wave sleep (so-called "restorative sleep", associated with the memory properties of sleep), and improves memory in adults.1 - 2

High resilience Bultex firm foam with a density of 40 Kg/m3. Thickness 50 mm. Bultex is a high quality foam for a lasting support.
Backrest foam

Bultex high resilience PU foam 30 Kg/m3 thickness 50 mm for a lasting support and comfort
Frame

MDF panels from Corrèze made with wood from French forests. The panels are protected by a natural hard oil (pearl effect) which gives a chocolate tint to the panels.
Structure finish

PERLOleo Classic natural hard oil for indoor use. The oil nourishes the wood and has a water-repellent effect. It consists of vegetable oils, natural additives and oil derivatives.
About manufacturing

Made in France from panels made of French wood. Precision cutting of the base to measure with a numerical control. Handcrafted finishing of the structure and cushions.
Delivery and assembly

Delivery flat-pack to reduce CO2 emission, in a wooden crate. The grooved panels can be assembled without tools (some accessories may require the use of a screwdriver for assembly).
Maintenance

The cushions are removable. The panels can be cleaned with a cloth soaked in liquid soap.
