The red lilliput library chair, tailor-made for reading comfortably
- Reference: BIBLIO-JAUNE-NAT

The width of the seat is equal to the width of your hips plus 2 to 5 cm. To measure it, sit on a flat surface, place two parallel blocks against your hips, measure the distance between them and add 2 to 5 cm.
To measure the depth of the seat, sit on a flat surface.
1. Measure the distance from the wall to the recess at the back of the knee.
2. Remove about 4 cm to get the seat depth measurement of the chair.
Correct measurement of the seat depth will result in better weight distribution over the entire seat, better blood circulation and therefore greater comfort.
It is important that the seat is not too deep so that it does not rest on the popliteal fossa at the back of the knee, which would hinder venous return.
To measure the height of the seat
1- Sit on a surface that is high enough so that your feet do not touch the floor.
1. Add books under the feet so that :
- the front of the thigh rests on the front of the seat (no hand should be able to pass through).
- the feet are no longer in the air
3. Measure the distance from the underside of the heel to the seat
If the seat is too high, the knees are up and the supports are more important at the bottom of the seat; the sitting position is quickly painful.
If it is too low, the feet are not on the floor and the user slides forward.
To measure the height of the backrest sit on a flat surface. You can choose between 3 types of backrest.
Classic backrest (Figure 1)
Pinch a pencil under the armpits and measure the height of the seat with the pencil.
Mid-high backrest (Figure 2)
Measure the height from the seat to the shoulder blades or base of the cervical vertebrae.
High backrest (Figure 3)
Measure the height from the seat to the rearmost part of the head.

Description
What are the advantages of a custom-made chair?
Made to measure, this red library chair offers
. a seat height and depth which, by harmoniously distributing the support pressures, improves blood circulation; this avoids pain felt in the buttocks, due to poor vascularisation in relation to the ischiums.
. a seating depth that allows you to sit at the bottom of the chair, with your back resting against the backrest; the column thus retains its natural curvature
. the seat does not rest against the calf so that venous return is not hindered.
. a seat angle of 10° reinforces these benefits by making it easier for the back to rest against the backrest and reducing pressure on the seat.

The choice of foam
The Bultex foams used for seat and back cushions have a high resilience, which means that they retain their original properties for a long time. Their relatively low thickness, compared to a traditional lounge chair, makes it easier to get up and avoids the hammock effect. The high density foam of 40 Kg/m3 makes the armchair comfortable for hours on end.
It can be stored flat in its packaging.
The structure of the armchair consists of 4 panels in Valchromat with slots: they can be assembled without tools. The seat can be quickly disassembled for transport or stored in a reduced volume.
The Valchromat panels are coloured in the mass: if a panel is damaged on its surface it can be sanded to recover its original colour.
Why choose a red armchair?
This colorred stirs up feelings. It stands out as a warm, energetic, penetrating and in a way reassuring and enveloping colour.
This warm colour therefore does not leave one indifferent and that is its strength: it stirs the passions, whether positive or negative.
