The Gulliver library chair
- Reference: BIBLIO-GULLIVER-VALC
The Gulliver library chair is made to measure according to your measurements and those of your books.
It can store up to 300 books.
You can choose between a dozen colours of legs (chocolate, grey, yellow, red, ...) and cushions.
If you wish a personalized estimate thank you to send us an email via the contact section.
What are the advantages of a custom-made chair?
Made to measure, this yellow library chair offers
. a seat height and depth which, by harmoniously distributing the support pressures, improves blood circulation; this avoids pain felt in the buttocks, due to poor vascularisation in relation to the ischiums.
. a seating depth that allows you to sit at the bottom of the chair, with your back resting against the backrest; the column thus retains its natural curvature
. the seat does not rest against the calf so that venous return is not hindered.
. a seat angle of 10° reinforces these benefits by making it easier for the back to rest against the backrest and reducing pressure on the seat.
To take your measurements, simply follow our guide.
The choice of foam
The Bultex foams used for seat and back cushions have a high resilience, which means that they retain their original properties for a long time. Their relatively low thickness, compared to a traditional lounge chair, makes it easier to get up and avoids the hammock effect. The high density foam of 40 Kg/m3 makes the armchair comfortable for hours on end.
It can be stored flat in its packaging.
The structure of the armchair consists of 4 panels in Valchromat with slots: they can be assembled without tools. The seat can be quickly disassembled for transport or stored in a reduced volume.
The Valchromat panels are coloured in the mass: if a panel is damaged on its surface it can be sanded to recover its original colour.
High resilience Bultex firm foam with a density of 40 Kg/m3. Thickness 50 mm. Bultex is a high quality foam for a lasting support.
Bultex high resilience PU foam 30 Kg/m3 thickness 50 mm for a lasting support and comfort
The angle of the seat is 9° (to the ground) and the angle of the backrest is 18° (to the vertical).
Made in France from Valchromat panels made in Portugal. Precision cutting of the base to measure with a numerical control. Handcrafted finishing of the structure and cushions.
