Stand up Armchair, tailor made

The width of the seat is equal to the width of your hips plus 2 to 5 cm. To measure it, sit on a flat surface, place two parallel blocks against your hips, measure the distance between them and add 2 to 5 cm.
To measure the depth of the seat, sit on a flat surface.
1. Measure the distance from the wall to the recess at the back of the knee.
2. Remove about 4 cm to get the seat depth measurement of the chair.
Correct measurement of the seat depth will result in better weight distribution over the entire seat, better blood circulation and therefore greater comfort.
It is important that the seat is not too deep so that it does not rest on the popliteal fossa at the back of the knee, which would hinder venous return.
To measure the height of the seat
1- Sit on a surface that is high enough so that your feet do not touch the floor.
1. Add books under the feet so that :
- the front of the thigh rests on the front of the seat (no hand should be able to pass through).
- the feet are no longer in the air
3. Measure the distance from the underside of the heel to the seat
If the seat is too high, the knees are up and the supports are more important at the bottom of the seat; the sitting position is quickly painful.
If it is too low, the feet are not on the floor and the user slides forward.
To measure the height of the backrest sit on a flat surface. You can choose between 3 types of backrest.
Classic backrest (Figure 1)
Pinch a pencil under the armpits and measure the height of the seat with the pencil.
Mid-high backrest (Figure 2)
Measure the height from the seat to the shoulder blades or base of the cervical vertebrae.
High backrest (Figure 3)
Measure the height from the seat to the rearmost part of the head.
The Stand Up is a practical lounge chair for sitting and standing up.
It can be made a small wide chair or a tall narrrow chair or whatever size your body requires to have the right support.
As standard the seat is tilted only 3° backwards (compared to 10 to 15° for a classic lounge chair); by putting your feet under the seat, grasping the front part of the armrests you tilt the trunk forward and push slightly on your legs to get up. This gesture is greatly facilitated by the height of the seat adapted to your morphology; when you customize the chair at the bottom of the page we invite you to give us the height and depth of the seat.
Made to measure, the StandUp chair allows you to sit comfortably all day long and to adopt a good posture for your back.
Amongst the benefits of a custom-made chair versus a one-size-fits-all chair:
. a customised height and depth of sitting allows, by distributing the support pressures harmoniously, to improve blood circulation; in this way, pain felt in the buttocks due to poor vascularisation in relation to the ischials is avoided
. a custom-made seating depth allows you to sit at the bottom of the chair, with your back resting against the backrest; the spine thus retains its natural curvature
. the seat does not rest against the calf so that the venous return is not slowed down
Bultex foams used for seat and back cushions have a high resilience, which means that they retain their original properties for a long time. Their relative thinness, compared to a traditional lounge chair, makes it easier to get up and avoid the hammock effect. For the chair to be comfortable for hours during this seat foam at a high density of 38 Kg/m3.
The backrest combines different foam densities, denser in the centre to form a lumbar support and on the sides for lateral support.
As an option it is possible to have a 1 cm layer of reception foam on top; it gives an impression of softness.
The chair structure consists of 4 MDF* panels with slots: they can be assembled without tools. The seat can be quickly dismantled for transport or storage in a reduced volume.
MDF panels are dyed in the mass: if a panel is damaged on its surface it can be sanded down to its original colour.
Practical accessories can be added to the chair, such as a reading light or a tablet.
High resilience Bultex firm foam with a density of 40 Kg/m3. Thickness 50 mm. Bultex is a high quality foam for a lasting support.

The angle of the seat is 9° (to the ground) and the angle of the backrest is 18° (to the vertical).
19 mm thick Valchromat panels, tinted with organic dyes. On the surface there are small pure wood fibres which have not absorbed the organic dyes.
3 layers of clear matt vitrifier - Ceramic Technology V33: high performance resin combined with ceramic microbeads, creating a shield and increasing strength by 40%.
Made in France from Valchromat panels made in Portugal. Precision cutting of the base to measure with a numerical control. Handcrafted finishing of the structure and cushions.
Delivery and assembly
Delivery flat-pack to reduce CO2 emission, in a wooden crate. The grooved panels can be assembled without tools (some accessories may require the use of a screwdriver for assembly).
Removable cover. Wash cushion and frame with mild detergent ( water and soap ).
